Duncan Mac Leod
Vice President Shell Hydrogen

We owe to Kellen Europe a good deal of the success of the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform so far. In 4 years of activity leading the consortium that manages the secretariat function of the European Platform, Kellen has contributed effectively to getting hydrogen vehicles on the road!" said Duncan MacLeod, Vice President of Shell Hydrogen in the Netherlands. "Since 2004, the team of Kellen professionals has provided strategic management advice and internal knowledge-sharing to a group of more than 500 stakeholders, and helped businesses to accelerate the market breakthrough of fuel cells and hydrogen technologies in Europe. Finding the right structure to bring together the auto, energy and power industries, small and medium technology enterprises, academic institutions, non-government organisations, regional and national governments and the various elements in the EU has been an incredible challenge", he added "The outstanding result of this process is a consensus in the hydrogen and fuel cell community to bring public and private interests together into a new, innovative industry-led structure that will enhance the implementation of demonstration projects, with an impressive 470 M€ funding secured from the European Commission".

Kellen has consolidated its position as the premier Association Management Company in the hydrogen and fuel cell arena at European level, and continues to contribute to making a hydrogen and fuel cell future a reality.

Steve Gladwin
Chairman Global FM
When Global FM was in the process of incorporation it started a RFP process to hire an Association Management company to act as Secretariat for Global FM and after a very thorough selection and evaluation process we have chosen Kellen Europe. The dedicated team to Global FM assisted us in getting the association up and running in a very short period of time: this included finalizing the incorporation of the association, setting up the bank accounts, selecting liability insurances, organizing the finances of the association, drafting internal rules and regulations etc. Now Kellen is responsible for the day-to-day management of the association, the financial management, the operation of the different working groups and the organization of all meetings of the association as well as of our International Workshops (which take place in different parts of the world) and all is dealt with in a very efficient way. The team structure, which Kellen proposes is great for Global FM - we have different levels of staff for different tasks, which allows operating in a very cost efficient way. The team is very professional and is extremely responsive to the requests of the members and of other third parties. The team understands very well the politics behind an association and is also capable of dealing with volunteers leading the association. Overall, Global FM is extremely pleased about the quality of work, the professionalism and the commitment of the Kellen team.

David Reid, Chairman TAPA EMEA
Head of Security Global Accounts (TNT Express)

"TAPA EMEA (Transported Asset Protection Association) selected Kellen Europe to start our involvement in Regulatory Affairs at European level. To get  the TAPA Board on an equal level  of understanding of the key issues for our industry and the European Union's  decision making process, Kellen Europe used a two fold approach: First we got a  detailed report explaining the legislative and regulatory issues of concern for  TAPA and in addition the TAPA board had a one day Executive training on "How  Brussels works", which was tailor made to us. Both tools were very effective  and brought us all up to speed!

To introduce TAPA EMEA to the key decision  makers in Brussels Kellen set up a Contact building programm, which included a  series of meetings with relevant Members of the European Parliament, Commission  officials and other relevant associations all in one day. The Kellen team dealt efficiently with every aspect during this day: our time was successfully spent in Brussels and the contacts made showed to be crucial during the coming advocacy campaign.

The Kellen Europe team provides the TAPA  Board with a monthly newsletter on European regulatory  affairs in which it not only reports on the latest developments, but also  provides TAPA with strategic advise and recommendations on which actions should  be taken. One can see that the team has a long experience in Regulatory Affairs  and have a thorough understanding of Brussels and the European Institutions as  well as a well established relationship with EU officials and other  stakeholders. TAPA EMEA Board trusts completely the Kellen's team for their judgment, their  recommendations, the complete professionalism of their operation, and their advise. The Kellen's team comes also  up with innovative ideas: instead of seeing all Member States in bilateral meetings on one issue, they suggested to organize a workshop with all Member  States and this has been done in a short period of time and has been a great  success!

Even though the team is not working fulltime for  TAPA, due to the efficiency and the quality of the work we receive - we could  not tell the difference!"

We have cooperated with Kellen Europe for a number of years already in various strategically important assignments, involving both industry and politics. With great pleasure we can state that we have enjoyed to work together with competent and committed as well as reliable colleagues in Kellen. We wish to continue our professional relationship with Kellen Europe as it always also proved to be for our joint benefit.

Carlos Lee
Senior Manager Brussels Office SEMI Europe

Kellen Europe did a great job in helping SEMI Europe drafting a White Paper on the competitiveness of the semiconductor equipment and materials industry. Kellen's work implied working closely with SEMI, the organization of a facilitation session, and of several interviews to gather the information needed. The White Paper has then been presented to the European institutions and stakeholders during a conference co-organized by Kellen Europe and SEMI. Kellen Europe professionals proved to have good expertise, connections and understanding of the European Union and the capability to strategically think about the most successful way of achieving the set results. Kellen Europe work was appreciated by SEMI and its members and laid the foundation of our new communication strategy towards the European institutions.
